Philip Jeck has won the Paul Hamlyn Foundation Award for Composers 2009. A presentation ceremony took place at The Royal Institute of British Architects, London, on 9th November 2009.
Congratulations to Philip on a well-deserved and long overdue award.

Travelling all the way from Sweden is Leif Elggren, with a piece performed remotely by Joachim Nordwall of iDEAL. The Atlantic Isles are represented by Baraclough, Philip Jeck (bass guitar + effects), Meltaot, Souls on Board (with Bruce Gilbert) and Simon Fisher Turner, plus special guest People Like Us.

BJNilsen will be premiering tracks from his forthcoming album, "The Invisible City", which will be exclusively available for sale at this event, ahead of its official release.

Gravetemple (Ambarchi, O'Malley, Csihar) + Aaron Dilloway perform as part of the Calling Out Of Context season.
Gravetemple are the American and European forces of Stephen O'Malley (Sunn O))), Oren Ambarchi (Burial Chamber Trio) and Attila Csihar (Mayhem). They combine metal instrumentation with feedback, drones and minimalist composition. Expect a disorientating mix of lighting and sonic power, and an unforgettable physiological experience, communicated via a wall of amplification.

On Thursday 19th November, Leif Elggren will be performing "Life of the Plants" at The Night of the Long Worms - see above for further details of this event.
The next day Leif Elggren presents, in celebration of the DVD release of Death Travels Backwards (Errant Bodies Records), a performance alongside Brandon LaBelle
